It was 31st of December. The New Year's Eve. You were walking down the streets of Seoul after returning back from your work. You could see people walking past you with their families.

Children happily skip with their hands held by their parents. Siblings playfully argue about their house decorations and this and that. And mostly couples being all lovely dovey with each other. Everyone had their loved ones.

But not you...

You sighed, smiling bitterly. You have to spend your New Year's Eve alone again this year. Even after having a rich job, you didn't have any significant other. No close relatives. Your parents passed away six years ago. And siblings?..... only god knows where they are.

You sighed again. God. How much you wished you too had someone precious in your life to spend with andー

Your thoughts came to a halt when you felt a sudden tug on your winter coat. You looked down to see a.....boy? Maybe in his late teens. He was kneeling on the dusty footpath over which you were walking. His torn dirty shirt seemed like of really thin material, just barely sticking to his skin. So were his pants. His whole body was full of grease and dirt.

But one thing was about that boy....he didn't look like a beggar at all. Like he didn't give off those vibes at that of a beggar. His pale smooth skin under the dirt, his beautiful doe eyes, his cherry red plump full lips, cute innocent face. He got the looks and purity. If he was cleaned up and dressed properly, he wouldn't look anything less than that of a literal prince.

"Please....can-...do you have....something....to eat..."

Your heart broke at his quivering voice on this ice-cold New Year's Eve. He was trembling violently in the cold. His beautiful face has turned strawberry red and swollen from the cold.

You halted your thoughts again, eyes widening ever so slightly......Did God finally hear your wish?....is....is this his way of telling?ー
