Emery Cruise was a sweet, sweet boy. He had good grades, was on student council, and always lended a helping in hand to anyone that needed it. He had pretty, green eyes; wavy, blond hair; soft skin; dimples; and freckles. Emery would’ve been perfect if it weren’t for a couple, small details.
He was gay, and chubby.
To survive at Emery’s school, you needed to be athletic, fit, and straight. Emery wasn’t any of those things, his social life ruined before he even got into high school.
The sweet boy was usually alone and never really spoke to anyone. Nobody bullied him, but they avoided him and refused to associate themselves with him.
Emery believed everyone at school was disgusted in him.
He was wrong.
Collin Matthews was one of the popular guys that played football and ran track. Collin was friends with almost everyone, not the stereotypical asshole like all of his friends were. He was tall, had toned muscles, and was unbelievably obsessed with Emery Cruise.
From the first time Collin saw the gorgeous boy’s tousled hair, pretty freckles, and the way the boy was so sweet without even trying, Collin was head over heels in love.
Collin yearned from Emery like no other, so sickly infatuated with the chubby boy.

After a night of so many tears and frustration, Emery had to go to school the next pretending like he was okay.
On his way to his locker, he accidentally bumped into someone, which only made his mood grow worse. Until he saw who it was.
Collin Matthews.
“Im sorry.” Emery murmured, his voice soft and quiet as he kept his head down.
