the news blared from your tv, the sound from your living room travelling into the kitchen. the word of the current zombie apocalypse had travelled like wildfire, especially considering hundreds of the creepy undead were roaming the streets.

sudden knocking sounds from outside made your blood run cold. carefully, you opened the window, and hesitantly peered down, not entirely sure you wanted to know what was making that noise.

but, as you looked, you spotted a surprisingly familiar figure, climbing up to your window. your friend, shaun riley, was clinging to the pipe that ran down the outside of your apartment. he clutched a cricket bat in his free hand, the other gripping desperately to the pipe.
