The silence in the car was comfortable, but you could feel the slight tension in the air. You and Rick had hooked up a few weeks ago and he's been avoiding you even though he pretends not to. He is like this because you are reasonably younger than him; part of him says it was a mistake, but the other part really wants to see you panting again because of him.

He was going out to get supplies alone since Daryl was busy, Carl was with Judith and the others also had their occupations so you offered to go along, he tried to refuse but you ended up winning and now the two of you were on the road. You insisted on coming along because you wanted to be alone with him, and confront him to find out why he was avoiding you.

He hadn't said a word since the trip began, he kept his eyes on the road, but his gaze fell away when he felt your hand on his thigh. Rick let out a small sigh and placed his hand over yours, he hesitated a little and gave it a light squeeze before placing it back on your lap.

"No. You know I'm old enough to be your father." he says, and although he usually has a firm tone, he wasn't there this time.
