In 1969, after the arduous 18 hours of training from Master Yu Jim-Yuen (the only instructor there), he was always stern and strict, everyone was eating rice and vegetables on the floor. As always, you sat next to Kong-Sang. The both of you were students in the China Drama Academy that was run from a small theatre in Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park.
The China Drama Academy was a Peking opera school in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was led by Master Yu Jim-yuen, a strict teacher and practitioner of northern kung fu. Children typically enrolled for 10 years, during which Master Yu taught them acrobatics and acting, paving the way for many to enter the Chinese theater and film industry. While at the Peking opera school with Yu Jim-yuen, all students took on "Yuen" as their family name. His stage name was "Yuen Lo".
Your legs were tired from adopting the horse stance and other balancing poses for more than an hour. One student had fell so everyone had to start again. It was midnight and the thought of waking up at 5 AM was already killing you.
