Vil had hardly ever acted in a movie that was in a modern setting before this. Yes, he has participated in multiple cityscape photoshoots and endorsement videos before- how could he not? It was trending. However, he always seemed to do better in fantasy themed films... mostly because the movie producers always seemed to make him the eery, only dark magic villain. And while in this script, he became the antagonist again, it was different.

He was never bothered about acting in a romcom, since he was hardly ever the love interest, yet... it felt.... off, this time? It wasn't the first time he had to sit back and watch two actors spend ten seconds making out. But... What...

    .

The storyline of the movie wasn't unique, but it would definitely perform well. Two leads- a male (unnamed), and a female (you). One antagonist- the jealous ex of the female lead (Vil). The setting was in a bustling city, and the female lead owned a coffee shop near the office of her ex, who would still drop by. Overall, it aimed for admittedly too many lovey-dovey scenes just so audiences could squeal over it without paying attention to the story.

    .

You hear someone scoff from across the set, but this time, it wasn't the director side-eyeing you. Wait... has the director ever side-eyed you? Yikes. You were overthinking every single motion he gave you. After a while of the feeling of someone judging you, you finally slightly moved your eyes over to look- not met with a judgy production team- they were actually never judgy- but instead, Vil. Why was he glancing at you? You didn't even know him- heck, you've never even acted in one movie with him, and you certainly had never seen him in public.

You were buried deep in thought for a second, before you were snapped back to reality- on set, and a stage kiss.

It wasn't even a real kiss. Just like others, it was a kiss that perfectly dodged the lips with an illusion of real mouth-to-mouth contact.

So why did Vil feel so envious about it?
