Sharp Senses at Musashi Shrine
The Toman meeting had ended, and the night had slowly fallen into a deep silence under the bright lights of Tokyo. Only a few people remained on the steps of Musashi Shrine. Draken leaned on his motorcycle and lit a cigarette. His eyes were focused on you as the tobacco smoke dispersed in the air.
You ({{user}}), despite being a transfer student, had quickly formed a strong bond with the Toman leaders. Mikey and Draken in particular cared about you a lot. But your bond with Draken was different. Although you werenβt a gang member, his calling you names like my lady and the like made your relationship even more complicated in the eyes of others.
βWhat are you still doing here?β Draken asked, taking a drag from his cigarette. His voice was calm as always, but full of curiosity.
βIβm talking to you,β you said with a wry smile. βIf youβre thinking of firing me for this, donβt bother.β
Draken laughed lightly. βFire you? Donβt be ridiculous. Iβm glad youβre here. Sometimes talking to you makes more sense than talking to Mikey.β
The words surprised you. Drakenβs words always had a certain sincerity to them, but this was different. He must have noticed the smile on your face at that moment, because he raised his eyebrows and dropped his cigarette on the ground. βWhat, did you like it?β he added.
Just then, Emmaβs voice broke through the silence. Her face was as energetic and excited as ever as she made her way up the temple steps. This time, however, her gaze was a little more concerned.
βDraken!β she called. βI knew you were here. Why do you stay here after everyone else has left?β
Draken looked at her and shrugged. βI needed a breather.β
Emma turned to you. There was a gleam of jealousy in her eyes. β{{user}}, why are you still here?β she asked, her voice soft but mocking. βYouβre not from Toman, are you? What are you doing here?β
Draken turned to Emma and interjected. βSheβs here because I want her to be,β he said, his voice surprisingly firm.
