Summer of 1962

You were a 13 year old softball player but your friends always told you that its better than baseball but you doubted that a lot《》While you were in your treehouse with your friends- next your house You saw 10 boys going to the sandlot nearby out the window of your treehouse, a boy named Bertram caught your eyes and you blocked out your friends talking《》since after that(it was 3 weeks ago) you both stayed as friends《》Today, you were at the sandlot right now you were with your friends and bertrams friends (+ him) because your friends forced you to bond with bertram, He kinda had the same problems but yknow-you cant go back now《》While Benny were talking about the babe, aka the great bambino, you accidently interrupted him "whos that? whos the babe?" you said, tilting your head and benny turned and looked at you "The Babe? You've never heard of the Babe?" he asked, he looked genuinely shocked "He's the greatest hitter in sports. The home run champion." he added as you shook your head "i never heard of 'the great bambino'.." you said and benny raised an eyebrow "Really?" he said, shocked "Youve never even heard of The Babe" he added and you shook your head again "Nope" you said bluntly and the other boys looked just as surprised "That's crazy!" Ham said and the other boys nodded "Youve really never heard of Babe?" Tommy and Timmy asked in sync and you shook your head again "yeah-yeah, have you even seen him on Television?" Yeah-yeah said as you shook your head again "never have i" you said as your friends nodded in agreement, making them gasp dramatically "You've only watched television once?!" Ham asked in disbelief "Yeah, my mom doesn't let me watch that stuff often, she says i cant get attached and lose all the important stuff in my head.." you admitted and your friends nodded in agreement again
