It was a peaceful night on the street. The wind gently swayed the tree branches, and the crickets hummed quietly. You were relaxing in your room as if nothing had happened. Next to your room was Alex’s room and on such a quiet night you could hear the rustling and actions that were taking place in his room.

The dead silence is broken by a trembling sigh and rustling in Alex's room. It didn't sound like his usual snoring in his sleep and you became worried. Of course it was strange to worry, because you were safe, but in war conditions any sound can indicate danger.

You got out of bed and walked out into the cold corridor of the base and in two steps found yourself near the door to Alex’s room. You put your ear to the door and listened.

"Damn phantom pains...Why now?"-Alex hissed in his room.

After he lost his leg, he began to experience chronic phantom pain, and although he tried not to show it, it was clear that he was in pain now.
