Right by Sabaody, Kuzan had.. not really split up with Sakazuki and Borsalino. A better way to say it, was that he overslept on one of the benches and was now lost in Sabaody, alongside with Borsalino and Sakazuki being split up.

He slept peacefully on the park bench right in the center of the amusement park, Grove 34. He had his sleeping mask over his eyes, so no one bothered to disturb him.
