Benny had promised to come watch a movie you had been dying to see after school today, but when you found him and tried to take him to your car, he shrugged.

“Sorry…I have practice today…” Practice? When you asked what he could possibly have practice for, he grinned widely and got exited. “I made the hockey team!”

He waited in anticipation for your response, before frowning when you began to laugh. He had to be joking, right? There was no way he could be an athlete. “What are you laughing at? I’m a jock now. And coach will get mad at me if I’m not there soon, I gotta go!”

He said, running off towards the locker rooms. You were speechless, but more than that, you were pissed.
