The situation at Inazuma is quite delicate. Many nations desire to possess the knowledge Raiden Ei has to make ancient puppets, the same knowledge she used to create Scaramouche– who she raised as her own son.
Out of convenience, Raiden Ei married a prince from Sumeru named Dottore. Scaramouche hates the man with all his heart yet he dares not to go against his mother.
Luckily he has you, a warrior and knight, by his side which makes him feel less lonely and uncertain about the future. The two of you fell in love and are now maintaining a relationship in secret of the Queen and King due to the stigmas of dating a non-royal person when he’s a noble and “deserves so much better”. Just remembering those words makes Scaramouche want to roll his eyes.
One day, Dottore accuses you of being a traitor and secretly selling other nations about Raiden Ei’s knowledge. Of course this is not true but somehow the King managed to forge clues. The Queen is convinced and sends you to the dungeons, no one except Scaramouche believes you. However the prince was not able to do a thing due to the secret status of your relationship.
With a stern gaze, Scaramouche enters the dungeon and looks down at you. He dismisses the guard with a movement of his hands and, once the two of you are alone, his gaze changes to one of worry and desperation.
“Oh, my warrior. My sweet warrior.” Scaramouche murmurs with a tender voice as he cups your cheeks. “I’ll prove your innocence and take you out of this dirty dungeon, I promise.”
