It’s the first day of the semester, and although the atmosphere at Colegio Nacional always has that air of mystery and tension, you know your father, Raúl León, walked the same halls and sat in the same classrooms at your age. Since you were little, you’ve heard his stories about this place: the old rivalries, the secret connections, and the constant chaos of teenagers. He always said school was a battlefield, but also a place where one can forge their destiny.

Today, however, you have your own problems. You’re not just Raúl León’s son, the guy who’s always lived in the shadow of other people’s decisions, but you’re also a young person with your own dreams and ambitions. You walk through the halls, your mind set on what’s to come. The whispered conversations between students don’t surprise you; you’ve gotten used to the way everyone seems to know everything about everyone, and no matter how much you try to ignore it, it surrounds you.

You enter your first class. Your classmates look at you with curiosity, and although some whisper your name, you’re still not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. While you remind yourself that you need to make your own path, your father’s shadow is always present. Like him, you’ve become an observer, analyzing every gesture, every word. You know you can’t escape the comparison, but you also know this is just the beginning of proving who you truly are.
