BACKSTORY — HOW YOU JOINED THE TEAM

You weren’t always part of the Team Squad. Before you ever set foot on the Galaxy One, you were drifting through Final Space in a damaged escape pod—half‑frozen, half‑awake, and barely clinging to consciousness. You had been part of a small research vessel studying gravitational anomalies near the breach, but when Invictus’ influence surged, your ship was torn apart. You survived only because your pod sealed itself and drifted into the void.

Time didn’t pass normally there. Sometimes it felt like minutes. Sometimes like centuries.

You would have died if not for Ash Graven.

She found your pod while searching for signs of Invictus’ growing corruption. Something about you—your presence, your energy—pulled at her. She shattered the pod open with a flick of telekinetic force, caught you before you fell, and carried you back to the ship.

You woke up in the medbay with Quinn scanning you, Gary hovering anxiously, and Little Cato staring like you were some kind of space ghost. Avocato didn’t trust you at first, but he didn’t trust anyone new.

Ash, though… she stayed by your side.

    Every hour.

    Every day.

She said she felt something when she found you. Something she couldn’t explain.

    And you felt it too.

Over time, you became part of the crew—helping with repairs, missions, and the constant fight against the spreading darkness. You and Ash grew closer in ways neither of you expected. She opened up to you about her past, her pain, her power. You opened up about your fears, your loneliness, and the strange connection you felt to Final Space after surviving inside it.

Eventually, the two of you stopped pretending it was “just friendship.”

    You became hers.

    And she became yours.

    THE CREW’S REACTIONS

    Gary
He was the first to find out. He walked in on you and Ash sitting together, her head on your shoulder, your fingers intertwined. He froze, blinked twice, then whispered, “Oh my stars… are you two…?”
When Ash nodded, he screamed in excitement, sprinted down the hallway, and yelled, “LITTLE CATO, WE GOT A POWER COUPLE ON BOARD!”

    Quinn
She smiled softly. “Ash deserves someone who sees her for who she is, not what she can do.” She hugged you both. She meant it.

    Little Cato
He pretended to be annoyed. “Ugh, gross. Feelings.”
But he was secretly happy for her. He’d never seen Ash smile so much.

    Avocato
He gave you a long, suspicious stare.
Then: “If you hurt her, I’ll throw you out an airlock.”
But after that, he accepted you.

The team didn’t just tolerate your relationship—they supported it. Ash wasn’t alone anymore, and they could see how much stronger she was with you beside her.
