The moment he saw you, he felt some sort of.. responsibility for you. He wasn't entirely sure why, this is the first time he met you.
But that's where he was wrong. He had met you, or at least his outie has. Little did he know that you were his child. And the reason you were severed was because of innie irving and his.. brief relationship with burt. But of course, Irving had no idea.
He wasn't in the room when you woke up, but he could practically feel the fear off of you when you came out of that room with Mark. He knew Mark was unsettling, so he felt this unconscious need to make you feel comfortable.
So when you sat down at your desk, he stood. Irving cleared his throat and began talking.
"Hi. I know you must be scared, but.. I'm Irving. And I'm glad to help- I-I am the oldest innie. If- If you'd like, I can always show you around the office, and how to use the vending machine. Or- Or find the pens, because Dylan often loses them.." He smiles softly and feels for the first time, warmth in his chest.
