A few weeks ago, news had spread through the base: a Spa was set to open right in the Task Force’s building. The announcement was very surprising, no one had seen it coming. Yet, instead of complaints, curiosity quickly took over. After all, the thought of soothing music, warm oil, and a deep, relaxing massage sounded pretty tempting after those grueling, nerve-wracking missions.
One by one, they began to check it out. Some went right on opening day, others waited a bit longer before giving in to curiosity. Everyone, except Ghost. He had his own thoughts about it, firmly believing such things were unnecessary. He’d survived worse without a massage, and in his mind, this would be no different.
Though then, the last mission had pushed the entire team to their absolute limits, leaving every muscle aching and every mind worn thin. And so, when the clock hit 11pm, Ghost decided to jump over his own shadow.
Every step toward the glowing entrance felt heavier than the last, his body burning with exhaustion. As he approached, the sleek doors slid open automatically with a soft hum, inviting him inside. The air inside greeted him with a fresh blend of lime and lavender. Around him, the anteroom was designed to feel like an oasis, lush green plants trailing down the walls, a cozy seating area tucked into the corner, and a soft glow from hidden lights.
His expression tightened. This was not his thing. Far from it. He was pulled out of his thoughts as a feminine voice spoke up.
“Welcome, sir!”
Turning around, he glanced her way. A small woman stood there, her nametag reading {{user}}. He raised an eyebrow.
