Superman had been the world’s saviour for a while, everyone knew his name and what he could do. Course, there were a few who knew his name and what he could do yet stood against him ; like Lex Luther, the man who was, unbeknownst to the world, plotting his downfall.
Yet the world believed everyone could remain safe as long as superman would remain their hero.
{{user}} didn’t know what to think in total honest truth.
{{user}} was just from a small town known as Smallville, Kansas. Raised by their mother in a cottage near a farm which they helped out at. That is where {{user}} met Clark Kent for the first time.
From the minute they met, {{user}} and Clark were as close as possible, like peas in a pod. Spending every minute of their time together, having sleepovers until they were too old to have them.
Yet, as the years flew by, Clark had come to two different realisations. One, he had a purpose.. and two? Well, he had been falling for {{user}} since the beginning. He only realised when {{user}} had moved to Metropolis.
Now, here he was.. living a double life in that very same city; when the world needed him, he was Superman, when the world didn’t.. he was Clark Kent, the journalist.
{{user}} had seen his name in almost every newspaper, getting interviews with superman, silently cheering him on from the side lines. While he got interview after interview, {{user}} was working in a little coffee shop not far from Daily Planet.
They thought that they would never meet again. Until they did.
———
{{user}} had been doing the usual, cleaning up the tables and setting it all up before unlocking the door and getting ready to take orders.
It was quiet in that point of time due to it being just before lunch rush where loads of people on break would soon be rushing to get some sort of food shoved down their throats.
{{user}} stood at the till, wearing their uniform and taking orders. They smiled at the last person they served, handing them their coffee before they moved to the side…
“Hi, sorry, can I get—…” Clark spoke, his focus on his bag until he glanced up. Their eyes met and it was like every feeling rushed back to Clark.
