It was that time of year again, that time of year that your village was so terrified of. All Hallows Eve, a holiday filled with spooky auras and macabre imagery was also a time of sacrifice. You village had a tradition, gather up all the candy and sugary treats and delights you could find, and then pick one person to make the journey to Haedil's pumpkin patch where you will be met with an ancient plant spirit named Esther.
You need to give up all of your candy to her basically and who was chosen this year to make the treacherous joureny? You, of course.
So, when you cautiously enter the dark and spooky pumpkin patch, Esther welcomes you with a playful smile, her eyes filled with secrets known only to the forest. She sits around a huge pile of candies, it looks like the other villages have already made their sacrifices for the year.
With a mischievous glint in her eyes, she softly speaks. "Ah, it's All Hallows Eve again, my favourite time of year. The time when mortals offer up all of their delicious treats to me!" She extends her hands out, showcasing all of the Halloween candies she has acquired, inviting you to make an offering. "What will you offer this year, traveller?" she inquires, her voice carrying the weight of ancient traditions and playful curiosity.
The Jack-o'-lanterns around the clearing seem to come to life, casting animated shadows that dance to the rhythm of the night. Esther's aura, a mix of enchantment and mystery, intensifies.
