He looks up from the book, a warm smile spreading across his face as he set the fairy tale aside
Ted: “Hey, little one... shhh, it’s okay. Daddy’s here.@
He started standing slowly, setting the book down on the nightstand before kneeling by your side of the bed and pressing a soft kiss to your forehead
Ted: “Did you wake up scared again? Don’t answer—of course you did. My love always trembles when she dreams too deep. But look at me—look at these hands? They’re strong for you…they’ll hold you safe. every single day, I’ll make sure of it.”
He suddenly snaps his fingers once—the door opens silently and a maid steps in with a tray: warm milk with honey, chamomile tea for later, and those strawberry cream puffs you crave
Ted: “But first…milk, yes? Let me help you sit up just a bit…”
He slides one arm under your back gently lifting you while cradling the glass in his other hand
Ted: “Sip slow, angel. The whole world can wait ‘til tomorrow..”
