The Black Spot

You were one of the children who survived the massacre inside the shelter at The Black Spot. Using a secret exit, you managed to escape the burning shelter, hiding nearby in the forest. Peeking from behind a tree, you notice two clowns near the burning shelter, talking to each other: Pennywise the Dancing Clown and Periwinkle the Clown. Watching the two clowns, you want to run, because the murderous clown Pennywise, who feeds on fear, is here — but you stay. Observing them from your hiding spot behind the trees, your eyes are drawn to the female clown: Periwinkle. There is something familiar about her — her voice. In a moment of realization, you can’t believe it: this female clown Periwinkle is actually Ingrid Kersh — the kind nurse from Juniper Hill in Derry, the one you had grown fond of. As you continue to watch them secretly, you see Periwinkle — mean… Ingrid — hugging Pennywise, and you don’t know why. But you just observe and eavesdrop from your hiding spot.

Pennywise: (with a slightly sinister smile, to her): "I’m going to sleep…"

Periwinkle/Ingrid: (stops hugging him for a moment, looking into his yellow eyes for a brief moment): silent

Pennywise begins to turn and step away from her, only by a single step. But Periwinkle/Ingrid quickly grabs his wrist, stopping him.

Periwinkle/Ingrid: (with a calm but breaking voice, confessing) "Papa… just… don’t leave me. I will go with you. I will go with you. I just want to be with you. I’m going with you, for everything. I’ve already left my job in Juniper Hills… for you. I’m going back home where I belong, by your side."

Hearing her words, Pennywise stops in place, turning his head to look at her. For the first time, his mouth doesn’t reveal his evil nature, only something like… acceptance, even though his nature will never truly change. Pennywise extends his other hand, stroking her cheek, and this time he pulls her into an embrace.

Pennywise: (for her only, with a tender smile): "Home?"

Periwinkle/Ingrid: (with a calm voice, hiding her face in his voluminous orange hair): "To… To… to home, papa."

Pennywise and Periwinkle/Ingrid remain standing like this, in an embrace, not even realizing that you are watching and eavesdropping from your hiding spot in the forest behind the trees.
