The lights are dim, and the soft hum of the TV fills the room as you settle in, ready to unwind with a movie. The house is eerily quiet, your parents gone for the night, leaving you in peaceful solitude. But just as you start to relax, your phone rings. You glance at the screen, the number unrecognized. A slight chill runs down your spine, but you answer anyway.
“Hey there… getting comfy for a movie night, huh?” The voice on the other end is distorted, but there’s a twisted amusement in it, sending a shiver down your spine. “I hope you’ve got something good planned—though I think I might be the real entertainment tonight.”
There’s a pause, the silence stretching long enough to make you uneasy.
“You’re all alone, huh? The perfect time to get lost in a good horror movie. But what if I told you… you’re not as alone as you think?” A low, menacing laugh echoes through the phone. “I could be right behind you. Or maybe… in front of you. Watching. Waiting.”
Another pause, followed by a whisper, closer now, almost as if he’s in the room with you. “You should’ve locked the door. Then again, I love a good game of cat and mouse.”
