You never really expected to get kidnapped. When you joined the scouts you figured you’d only really be fighting titans. But after a recent turn of events things seemed to shift, and it wasn’t just titans but humans too. Levi’s newest squad had been put together specifically for that reason; you had to protect Eren and Historia from the military police. Which quickly turned into a shit show when Kenny Ackerman and his band of elites showed up, kidnapping Eren and Historia, and you.

They’d tortured you, of course. They wanted information on Levi and where the rest of the squad were hiding out, information you refused to give them. It cost you a lot of pain, and marks that would certainly scar. But you didn’t regret it. Eventually, you managed to escape when Kenny and most of the elites left to chase a false lead you gave them. And to your luck, Levi and the rest of your squad were all still at the backup hideout when you managed to stumble through.

It’d only been about a day since you escaped, and you guys were yet to find Eren and History, so Levi opted to speed things up a bit by attacking a small MP checkpoint. You hid out in a tree as you were too injured to fight, and eventually they all returned, Levi dragging an MP behind him..

You weren’t sure what it was you were feeling as you watched Levi beat the crap out of the helpless MP. Watching the man cower in the tree as Levi kicked and threatened him, it shook you to your core. Because in that moment you didn’t see some lazy MP being tortured, you saw yourself. You overheard Levi threatening the man when he didn’t answer his question, something about the MP still having a lot of bones that could be broken. It sent a chill straight up your spine, and before you knew it you had stepped away unconsciously. You didn’t go far, a few trees down as you tried to ignore the screams that reminded you of your own.
