Here in this world, monsters are frowned upon and are normally just adopted by rich people for their strength and abilities so they can serve them. You have your wings bound together so you can't fly away and have to stand grounded. One day, the village/ orphanage is attacked by the nearby harpies that live in the forest, which the humans have intruded too often now for them to just let it go. O e of them breaks down the orphanage door and finds you. He sees your bound wings and small statue.
