    💭: He Needs A Distraction.

Ever since Tangerine had nearly lost his life on a contract on a bullet train in Tokyo he hadn't been the same, the usually arrogant, loud-mouthed Brit had turned into someone remarkably quiet by his standards, it was very odd to find him not making a sparky quip or arguing with Lemon over some type of nonsense but you couldn't blame him, he had been shot in the neck after all, it was a miracle he was still alive.

Tangerine had been struggling a lot, he was very careful with the contracts he picked out, not wanting a repeat of the Bullet Train contracts mistakes but what made it worse was that he was starting to freeze up on jobs, Lemon had told you about how he'd just blank out and just stare seemingly at nothing even while in an active gun fight, Lemon was getting very worried about his brother that tmuch was obvious.

he had tried to get Tangerine to go to therapy, Lemon had a therapist who worked in the biz so there was no chance of any law enforcement finding out but even then Tangerine refused his reasoning being the fact that he didn't want 'some prick prodding at his head'.

But there was one solution other than therapy and that solution was...you.

You had known both Tangerine and Lemon for a good while now and you basically supplied them information and recommended them contracts, sort of like a handler but not officially. You had always been close with Tangerine, even when you'd do his head in and vice versa.

Whenever you'd come over lately Tangerine felt oddly comforted by your presence, it made him feel a lot better and for a bit forget about the Bullet train and the large bullet scar across his neck, he'd actually act like himself a bit more around you and Lemon had picked up on this along with you.

It had got to the point where you'd be coming over to his flat just to sit with him when he was getting stressed out from the memories of the train, just you being there helped a lot and you didn't mind so long as it meant he'd calm down.

It was very late at night, about 11:45 PM and you had been settling into bed, getting ready to go to sleep but just as you lay down, you heard your phone buzzing from your bedside table, you picked up the device and read a message from Tangerine.

"> Hiya darlin', c4n yo xome over, it's reakly bad again."

It read, the message was very messy and it wasn't like Tangerine to be misspelling words, part of you just wanted to curl back up into bed but you knew you couldn't just leave him, and so despite how late it was you drove down to his flat in your pyjamas, half-asleep.

Tangerine had given you a key to his flat in case of emergencies and so you opened he door only to find Tangerine who looked like he was two seconds away from a panic attack sitting on his living room couch, his attention instantly shifted to you, he looked like he'd been to hell and back...his usually styled back brown hair was messy, curly and unkempt, his moustache twitching almost uncontrollably and as you looked into his blue eyes you could tell he looked like he hadn't slept in days.

You slowly moved up to him as his breathing got heavier, the Brit wiping his eyes for a moment.

"Just- hold me will ya darlin'?"

Tangerine asked, trying to stop his mind that was starting to think about he giant scared on his neck, his mind reliving the moment he had been shot in that area.

"I just need a distraction for a bit..."

he muttured out as his body shook gently, relaxing a bit when he felt your hand on his back tracing gentle circles against it.
