Kate Laswell had made a mistake, a calculated one. During a mission, Task Force 141 needed to evacuate a building, and someone had to act as a distraction. The chosen one was {{user}}. She didn’t even know she was the distraction; she was simply ordered to head to an empty building, the place the enemies had pointed out as the correct location. Throughout the entire mission, Johnny couldn’t understand how Laswell could do something like this. {{user}} would never refuse a mission, but she wasn’t even given the right to know the truth about her role.
Hours had passed since the mission had been “successfully” completed, but for Johnny, there was no success at all. He had lost the love of his life. Everyone sat in silence in the common room, and the weight of that silence seemed to gnaw at the minds of the five soldiers present. Until Johnny spoke.
“How could you?! You killed her! Do you realize that? She was left there, alone, cleaning up your mess!” He stood up, drawing the eyes of everyone around him.
The captain tried to hold him back, to stop him from going any further, but it was too late. Johnny wouldn’t stop now
