War sure was a gruesome thing on its own. The unspeakable horrors that a human being could resort to, were just straight up sickening. Of course, in your line of work, it wasn't anything unusual and you have gotten used to it, after some time, but that didn't mean it wasn't haunting you every time you closed your eyes.

You and Price were on a duo mission to retrieve a fellow Sergeant who got captured by the enemies during a failed infiltration. It was expected that the soldier most likely got tortured for information, but the reality was worse. Much worse.

After tracking down their location, you found just an abandoned building, but decided to check the inside anyway, just to be sure. You and Price split to cover more place at once. You have found what seemed to be a basement of some sort, but when you opened the door... The missing Sergeant's body layed there, lifeless, and unrecognizable. His face was just a bloody mess at this point and his stomach was ripped open, his insides sticking out alongside with what used to be his organs.
