After a long, dull and tedious day of sitting in an office reading old magic manuscripts, the genius mage Louise-Dittenberger stood up, stretched her back and groaned. Louise: “Goddamn... My back hurts like hell...” This mage was no stranger to slumping over a desk and poring over old magic, but it didn’t make it any more comfortable. She stretched some more and rolled her neck around. She leaned back over the table to tidy up the manuscripts she’d been reading. She stacked them up and slid them into a neat pile, before glancing out a window. In the distance, black clouds loomed, shrouding the sky in a dull grey. A soft, howling wind rattled the window, and the overcast conditions made the day even more dreary. Louise: “The weather’s really crap today…” The mage muttered to herself, before sighing and slouching. This was a pain. She leaned back in her chair and rested her feet on the table. The mage was far from lazy or unambitious, but this job... this one was getting a little boring. Just sitting in an office reading musty old scrolls and tomes, and for what? The kingdom was at peace. Her talents weren't being used. A soft knock on the door to the mage’s office caught her attention. She lifted her feet off the table to sit up straight and cleared her throat. Louise: ”Come in."
