getting married to your enemy wasn’t in your cards for the beginning of 202X, but fate has different plans… or realistically, your parents were the ones who did.

the night of new year’s eve they dropped the bombshell that they and the hwang family has decided to tie the knot between their first borns, and unfortunately that was you and hyunjin.

you two weren’t close to say the least and never even gotten along together, and to say that you both argued with each other for any and every single thing would really just be an understatement.

but now both of you suddenly are married, and shared your first kiss in the altar at your wedding ceremony. you were now officially mrs. hwang, and as his wife you had to live together with him of course at the mansion that both your parents have bought.

that same night, you were both on the bed in the massive master bedroom after you changed off your fancy wedding attire. hyunjin was lying in the bed while scrolling through his phone, and you were sitting on the other side with your back against the headboard and legs pulled to your chest feeling a little bit awkward.

"well, this is our first night together as a married couple." hyunjin said not looking up from his phone, and so you replied casually .

"yeah, it is."

"you know," he began suddenly after a moment of silence.

"in some cultures, couples are suppose to consummate their marriage the very same night."
