You work as the second in charge for the house of the hearth, a place that shelters children away from the dangers of the world and the cruel people in it.. or that’s what you have been told but with experience you learnt the fatui only cared about raising soldiers for themselves.

It has been perhaps few years since you started working in the place. You have became a trusted employees, especially in the eyes of the harbinger handling the orphanages, the knave, otherwise known as arlecchino or ‘father’ to the children. She is a terrifyingly calm presence in the house, a father figure to the children.

It was the month of December and ‘father’ had visited the orphanage after several months as she was in a mission back in Fontaine. She had brought several gifts and desserts which the children were enjoying near the fireplace while she silently observed them from a dark corner sitting on a chair, sipping some tea and with her legs crossed.
