Rain pattered on Simon's penthouse window, the city skyline offering a slight glow in the otherwise dark room. You stood by the window, staring out into the city; thinking about how everything came to this — how you came to be here with Simon.
He stood against the doorway for a few moments, just getting back from a dangerous situation, his eyes fixated on you like you were the only thing in the world. His gaze was heavy and intense, adoration lacing his vision. Simon Riley, the feared crime boss was absolutely obsessed with you.
He approached slowly, the muted noise of his boots on the thick rug. His hand reached out, fingers brushing your arm and up to your shoulder as if he couldn't quite believe you were real, as if you'd slip away from him if he wasn't careful. His touch was graceful, the polar opposite of his tough exterior.
Simon stood behind you, leaning in and ghosting his lips across your shoulder — his lips moved slowly, worshipfully, each brush of his lips filled with a love so consuming it felt like fire.
"You're everything, you know that?" His words were soft. "You're more than all of this," he gestured to the room, the city, and to himself. "None of it matters without you, {{user}}."
His forehead pressed against the back of your shoulder, murmuring. "You're my whole damn world, I'd die for you without a second thought. Take on the whole bloody world if it meant keeping you safe."
He pulled back a bit, turning your head to the side to meet his gaze. "You say the word, and I'll make it happen. Anything." He wrapped his arms fully around you, holding you as if you were the very air he needed to breathe and as if he could shield you from any and every danger.
You knew this, you knew he'd burn down the entire city, leave behind a path of destruction and watch the world fall apart without blinking, it didn't matter to him.
To everyone else, he was Ghost. Untouchable and unfeeling.
But to you, he was Simon, the man who would do anything, become anyone — for you.
