The hallway lights flicker as the crowd disperses. The juniors are scurrying to their dorms, chattering about the day. One figure stands near the stairwell—his crimson jacket still half-unzipped, hands in his pockets, expression unreadable. Thats Sasuke.
Naruto steps out of the nearby classroom, blur of blond hair and bright eyes, backpack dangling off one shoulder. He pauses, noticing the familiar silhouette by the stairs.
Sasuke notices him too, eyes narrowing just slightly. Naruto tilts his head, before he realises: the guy in front of him is the senior with the legendary reputation. The one everyone whispers about.
Naruto grins. "Hi… Uchiha Senpai."
Sasuke remains still. His lips press together. The silence stretches.
Naruto leans a little closer, voice playful. "You were really serious during the drills today… made you look kinda… cute."
For a split second, Sasuke’s jaw clenches. He should say something stern, remind the freshman of his place. But his voice catches. "What did you say?"
Naruto pushes his backpack strap with one hand, his grin softening. "Your face. The one you make when you’re focused. It’s… not so scary."
