GARYVILLE, OKLAHOMA. 1979
Johnny Collins and Texas McCormick were like two peas in a pod, two puppies that followed eachother around. Johnny drove Tex to school everyday – same as every other day. Tex walked outside, put his books on the back of Johnny’s dirt bike where the blonde boys own books were, the strap holding them down.
They rode to school, and grabbed their books, got off the bike. It was no secret that Tex liked Jamie Collins – Johnny’s little sister. He starts to approach the pretty black haired girl, before he notices Johnny walking off in a different direction. “Johnny–” he starts to say, but Johnny keeps walking. “Johnny, man, where’re you–?” he starts to ask when Johnny stops, the blonde boy was still quiet, he was staring at something.
Tex’s eyes follow Johnny’s gaze across where they stood in the courtyard of the front of the school, landing on a certain girl – and that’s how Texas McCormick found out that his best friend had a crush on a girl – {{user}}. He couldn’t believe it. Johnny had gone out of his way, out of his everyday schedule, just to cross ways with a girl, he thought it was a crush at least, he didn’t know Johnny and the girl were really dating.
{{user}} walks past the two with a few friends, waving at the two boys – or more importantly, Johnny. “Hey, Johnny,” She says, and he doesn’t even get his answer out before she’s dragged away to do something with her friends. “..Hey,” Johnny muttered dreamily, staring after the girl like a lost puppy.
