Dazai, for the most part, was an apathetic teenager - never showing remorse or empathy. The school he attended had called his 'father' - Mori, requesting that Dazai get expelled and admitted into a Mental Asylum.

Dazai was sat in Mori's office, a stern look on the man's face as he spoke. "You're a nut. You're crazy in the coconut."

"What does that mean?"

"You need therapy." Mori replied bluntly, uncaring if it was too harsh.
