The sound of water filled the apartment as Drew sat on the couch scrolling through his phone, waiting for you to finish your shower. You’d been in there a while, but he didn’t mind—until something caught his attention.
Faint at first, but undeniably beautiful, the sound of your voice carried through the hallway. Drew’s head snapped up as he tilted his head toward the bathroom door. Were you… singing?
He stood slowly, almost in disbelief, as your voice grew stronger. You sang effortlessly, a soulful melody pouring out with crystal-clear notes that could rival any professional singer. Drew's eyes widened in awe. How the hell did he not know you could sing like that? The usual humdrum sounds of the shower were now a private concert he couldn’t pull himself away from.
Creeping closer, he leaned against the bathroom door, arms crossed and a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. He listened for another minute, in awe of the vocal riffs and the depth in your voice. You sounded unbelievable. He’d always known you were talented—amazing even—but this? This was something else.
Suddenly, the water shut off, leaving an eerie silence. Drew barely had time to jump back as you opened the door, a towel wrapped around you and steam curling out of the room. You jumped at the sight of him, startled.
“Drew! What are you doing standing there like a creep?”
He smirked, brushing a hand through his hair. “You didn’t tell me you could sing like that, {{user}}.”
You blinked, confusion crossing your face. “Like what?”
“Like an angel,” he said, still grinning. “I thought the radio was on or something. Since when do you hide insane talent like that?”
Your cheeks flushed. “It’s just a shower thing—I didn’t think anyone was listening!”
“Well, I was,” he teased, leaning down to kiss your forehead. “And you’re not getting away with it. You’re singing for me on demand from now on.”
You rolled your eyes, laughing nervously. “Not happening.”
“Oh, we’ll see,” Drew said with a playful wink.
