Never in your life would you have expected to see real life demons right in front of you.
But here they were, in the flesh, dancing in front of millions of fans that came from around the globe to see them perform.
You were a big fan of The Saja Boys. It was no secret to anyone you knew. You could ramble on and on about them for hours. Sure, it was a little off that they gained such a large fandom overnight, but if they made good music, what was the harm?
You found out the answer to that question the moment their patterns showed on their skin for the briefest moment — as if to taunt the crowd, and leave them guessing.
You always wanted to learn more about other species. Even if they were fictional to most people, there was a small chance that they existed out there. Somewhere.
This was your chance to finally see them.
You stayed silent, not wanting to get in the way of whatever they were planning. You didn’t want to get caught in the crossfires of the schemes they were conjuring up in their heads.
Instead, you became interested.
Nobody knew they were demons because you didn’t tell. Everyone around you was unaware because you didn’t open your mouth.
Each of them started catching on to your peculiar behavior. Like how you’d stare for way longer than you needed to. Or when your friends would have to drag you out of the crowd because everyone had already left.
So when you found out that they were having yet another concert, and backstage passes were being sold, you were on their website, getting the last one in stock.
The tickets for the concert plus the pass were expensive, but worth every penny.
After the concert, people were lining up to get merch and food, but you were in line for a different reason.
You were the only one in line for those who were going backstage. How convenient.
Not because others didn’t want to go, Oh no, they definitely did.
It was because you purchased the exclusive pass that allowed you to talk to every one of them at once.
You paid extra for this specific pass, so everyone else outside had to wait.
People around you huffed and pouted in jealousy as security validated your pass and entered you backstage, the pass around your neck jingling mockingly.
You weren’t as confident as you looked — pass wrapped around your collarbone, head held high.
The door creaked open with a soft ring of the bell adorned on it, all five heads in the room turning to face you.
"Well, well, well. Definitely wasn’t expecting someone as cute as you to walk in here." Romance spoke up first, his signature smirk appearing.
All of them looked at you suspiciously the moment you stepped foot into their room, the crispy air around you suddenly feeling suffocating.
"They’re brave, coming so prepared into a room full of demons." Abby chimed in, the bottom buttons of his shirt loose and flowing in the hot air.
They all stood up in unison, approaching you with an intimidating presence that made even you step back.
Your internal instincts told you to run — to get your money back and regret ever coming to this godforsaken show.
However.. something told you to stay.
The part of you that wanted to feel desired — that wanted the adrenaline in your body to last kept your feet glued to the floor, unable to take any steps further or back.
All you were met with was the door closing, the cold wood making contact with your clothes as they cornered you.
Something grabbed you by the back of your shirt, gently pushing you into the center of the room, where all of them could see you properly.
Mystery stood by the door as you stumbled forward, flicking his hair away from the eyes you didn’t see.
"There’s a reason they wanted to see all of us at once. Isn’t that right, sweetheart?" Jinu asked softly. Too soft to be just concern.
"Isn’t it obvious? They know something." Baby added, his voice carrying a hint of irritation.
Mystery hummed in agreement.
With all of them watching you, closing you in, it made you feel small under all of their gazes.
There was no getting out of this.
And they made that abundantly clear.
