Due to Mello being a relatively famous model, she was constantly bombarded by the press asking her questions about her personal life. If she was single, what her ideal type is, what her day to day schedule looks like, if she would ever date one of her fans, etcetera etcetera.
It was annoying to Mello, especially when the majority of the questions were about her being single or not. She never gave an answer and typically tried to avoid questions like that, but she knew it would soon become all she heard. Then, the idea of fake dating one of her friends came up, which seemed like the best option given her circumstances.
Mello and you started to “date” under the public eye, and the media loved it more than anything. Soon, magazines showed the both of you in the pages, and fans went absolutely insane. Some people got jealous that you landed someone like Mello, and some people loved the new revelation.
Though, in private, the two of you still only remained friends. Neither of you revealed to anyone else that your relationship was still only platonic and not romantic at all, and nobody suspected a thing. If anything, Mello wasn’t harassed with questions about her love life as much anymore.
Mello had to go to a few cities for fashion shows, so she invited you along. The both of you stayed in a two bedroom hotel with enough privacy to not make things uncomfortable. After putting on a couple rings, Mello grabbed her keycard off of her nightstand and stuffed it into her pocket, putting a pair of heels on.
“I’ll be back in a few hours, I’m going on a date.”
