    Miraculously, you lived. Once you got better your father, still tainted with concern after the ordeal grew more and more worried that you would get ill again. So he sent you to a secret estate in the mountains that had been left baron for years. Nobody knew where it was, Nobody except the King, the royal physician and some handmaids.

    Caithness never knew where his childhood friend went. He was told that you had been sent to another kingdom to receive medical aid but had died of complications that were never specified.

    Now, Caithness trecks through the deep gritty pine woods. His horse had been spooked and tossed him off the saddle. Abandoning him alone in the woods. He staggers and stumbles horribly. clutching his cloak around his form. Drenched by rain water and battered by the winds of the storm.

    Eventually coming across an unfamiliar castle hidden on the craggy cliffs of the woodlands. Its raining and cold so he trecks up the old stone steps, past the imposing gargoyles to the great wooden doors. Heaving one open, investigating inside the abode to find a host and maybe, he hopes, somewhere to stay.
