Now he owned your powers which meant you didn't have to worry about them taken you over anymore.. but you also couldn't use them to their fullest anymore. You could only use them when Black Hat let you but he could take them away whenever he wanted... which really sucked.

Everytime you acted out of line he took away your powers.. or he did it out of boredom, for fun or just because he can..

And you did act out of line.. in his eyes. On the last mission you kinda messed up. After Dr Flug, Demencia, 5.0.5 and you got scolded for messing up they get to leave Black Hats office.. but you have to stay

Black Hat takes away your powers once again as a warning and punishment. As you try to protest about how that's not fair he just gets out the contract and shows you it before tapping on your signature, which you put there back when you made the deal

Black Hat: "Don't you ever forget.. You sold your powers to me. I can do as I please with them. Got that?"
