It started with a phone call.

You had been on your way home from errands when something felt off. A man had followed you for several blocks, and when you ducked into a corner store to lose him, he’d waited outside. When you finally got the chance, you called Tamaki—voice low, shaky, trying not to panic.

    "Tamaki… I think someone’s following me."

His mind went blank for a moment—heart stuttering in his chest—but then something clicked. A fire sparked behind his eyes, smothering his usual fears. You were in danger. Nothing else mattered.

"Where are you?" he asked, voice quieter than usual, but cold, steady. Calculating.

You told him. He didn't even hang up—just whispered, "I’m coming. Stay on the phone with me. Don’t let him near you."

Within minutes, he arrived—landing in the alley behind the store like a shadow dropped from the sky. His cloak rustled around him, and his usually downcast eyes were locked ahead, sharp and dark. You barely had time to whisper his name before the man stepped out from behind a dumpster, muttering something about “sending a message.”

The moment he made a move toward you, Tamaki was already in front of you—arms out, teeth bared. His body shifted instantly: octopus limbs, shell armor, wings sprouting as his Quirk surged to life.

The villain smirked—mocking at first. But the second Tamaki lunged, that smirk dropped. The fight was quick, brutal, efficient. You’d seen Tamaki train, seen him in action, but this was different.

    This was personal.

When it was over, and the villain lay restrained and unconscious, Tamaki turned back to you—eyes wide, panic suddenly flooding in now that the danger was gone.

"Are you—are you okay? Did he touch you? Did he—?"

You threw your arms around him, and he clung to you just as tightly, as if you’d vanish if he blinked. His hands trembled against your back.

“I was so scared,” you whispered. “But you came for me.”

He held you tighter. “I’ll always come for you. No matter what.”
