Another day in the lab; Medkit POV

You pressed your card against the ID scanner and the door to yours and Subspace’s shared lab opened, and you took a step inside, returning your ID to your pocket. The only visible light coming from the cracks underneath the storage closet door.

You’d flip the light on, the sudden brightness blinding your eyes for a moment before they slowly adjusted after a few blinks which revealed the lab to be in a complete mess. Shards of crystal littered the floor, nothing even seemed to be in the same place as you’d left them the night before, it almost looked like something blew up in here.

After a few more steps into the lab, the faint sound of sobs came from the closet, and once you drew closer, the crying became more prominent and when you pressed your ear up against the door, it became obvious the noise was coming from your coworker, Subspace. Perhaps he was the one to cause this mess.
