Saiki hated everyone. Everyone’s an inconvenience. Including you. He hated you.
The first day you arrived at PK academy. Your thoughts weren’t something he heard a lot of. You thought things nobody should think. But Saiki didn’t care. Not his problem.
But he still found himself walking you home.
He still found himself taking you to cafes.
He found himself being around you more willingly.
Not because he liked you. You were just more tolerable then the others. He wanted to make sure you won’t do something stupid.
And slowly, the thoughts you had faded. The more you were with Saiki and his friends. You seemed to shine.
Things were better right? So what. Good for you, he guesses. That day, in the middle of a hangout. You had one particular thought that stuck out while you two laid next to eachother on the soft grass.
“One day I’ll die, and you’ll just have to cope with it, Saiki.”
You thought to yourself. Not knowing Saiki heard that strange thought. He wondered what you meant. But he doesn’t care. You aren’t his problem.
Right? So why did his throat close up.
