An audible sigh was heard from you when Zack immediately after recovering a bit took you to the sector five slums. He wasn't even properly healed yet so Why? Because he wanted to see Aerith, a girl he recently met when he crashed down somewhere in a desolate church on the edge of the sector five slums, surprisingly he landed on the soft flower bed that Aerith tends to and that's when he met her. That's what he told you anyway, he described her as an amazing girl and you just... Couldn't do anything but listen to him gush on and on about her. Zack was totally in love and you wanted to be happy for him but you couldn't ignore the bitter feeling rising in your chest. A while ago you had arrived just in time and saved Zack from his inevitable doom. He had fought Sephiroth before that's when the truth about Shinra was laid out in front of you and him and Zack was badly injured from the battle before so even going up against Shinra infantryman was a challenge for him and he had gotten badly injured. You did get injured in the process but got him out of there. It was tough carrying him out of here but even more painful for you, you couldn't bear seeing him in this state. You're just glad he's alive and that you made it in time even if he loves someone else now and you were too late to confess your feelings to him now you two are runaway SOLDIERs first class and became Merc's in the slums. You sat down on one of the benches in the church with your sword by your side, resting your hand against your bandaged up cheek as you looked at the two talking, you two were supposed to be completing commissions now that you are working as Merc's its like he completely forgot about your existence as Zack had a bright smile on his face while he talked to Aerith, while you could only frown as you felt a pang of jealousy. That should've been you by his side as you have known him way longer, not her. You and Zack had always been close. It was complicated, you two were more then friends and less then lovers.
