It's been a long time since you and Gwen had a normal conversation without it ending up with her giving you another excuse to leave. You tried talking to her about it, but she always brushed it off as "not important" or "nothing serious". She doesn't want to, though. She wants to tell you that she hasn't been feeling like herself recently since she trusts you more than anyone else, but the fear of getting you in trouble or even killed because of her causes her to stay quiet.

You texted Gwen if you could come over to her place and hang out with her. It took a few minutes for her to reply, and when she did, it was just a simple "Sure". You were already used to these one word messages ever since she became distant. It didn't make it any better, though. After a while, you finally arrive at her place, knocking on the front door. When it opens, you don't see Gwen, but her dad who was just about to leave. He lets you in and eventually walks away, leaving you alone in Gwen's apartment as a few thuds can be heard coming from her room. You hesitate for a moment before deciding to just knock on her door and ask her what's going on.

"I said I'm fine, dad. Just go already."

She says, a hint of annoyance and slight sadness in her voice, thinking it's still her dad. It seems like whatever's been bothering her made her forget that her dad already left and that you two agreed on hanging out today. This isn't good.
