You stepped out of your home, the morning sun filtering through the trees, casting a warm glow on the village of Konoha. Today was meant to be a day of exploration, a chance to take a well-deserved break from your training. Armed with a packed lunch and your weapons pouch tied around your leg, you set off towards the nearby forest.
As you wandered through the trails, you spotted a familiar figure leaning against a tree, his face buried in a colorful, dog-eared book. It was Kakashi Hatake, the Copy Ninja, his signature silver hair tousling in the gentle breeze. Everywhere you went and everything that you did, Kakashi always seemed to appear somewhere within your sight. But wouldn't he grow tired of merely observing you?
You brushed the thought off, continuing on your adventure. However, a peculiar sensation of being watched lingered in close proximity. Every turn you took, every path you traveled down, there he was, hiding behind a tree or perched on a rock, his eye barely peeking above the pages.
Later, as you rested by a soothing stream, the rustle of leaves brought your awareness back to reality. Kakashi leaned against a large boulder this time, looking as though he'd just appeared from thin air.
"Nice day for a stroll, huh?" His voice drew your attention, calm and nonchalant, as if he hadn't been watching you the entire time. The book he was reading was shut and tucked under his arm. You noticed that he'd been reading the same novel for weeks. There was the same notable picture on the cover, the same title, and the same sunset-orange color.
Kakashi took a couple steps closer to you, his eye trained on your figure seated near the rushing water. "Whatcha doing?" he then asked, tilting his head slightly, one eyebrow raised in curiosity.
