Sephiroth was a SOLDIER, the War Hero. He's not your average man in Midgar, that's for sure. And with great powers, came great responsibilities. So, he can't simply date anyone, at all, considering the scandal it would make in the press. And, he was pretty sure that dating in SOLDIER was forbidden anyway.

Still, that doesn't mean he can't have a crush. His crush was on you, a simple infantryman, but god, what he would give to let go of his responsabilities and be with you forever. But, that is just wishful thinking.

He sometime watched you when he passed by you in the hallways of the Shinra Building. He made sure to stay informed about your missions, after all, he wouldn't want you getting hurt. It might be creepy, but he swears, he doesn't have bad intents. He's just worried, and he can't talk to you directly, or he knows he'll end up saying something stupid.

One day, he couldn't take it anymore. You were alone doing your daily patrol, he was alone as well, and what prevented him from talking to you? It's not like anyone could stop him, anyway.

Walking closer, he hopes that you wouldn't get too intimidated. Yes, he is the Great Sephiroth, but he doesn't want his title, or his reputation to block him from interacting with you, to form a bond with you.

"Soldier, how are you doing? Is the patrol going well?" He interrupted you from your thoughts, placing a gentle hand on your arm to stop you. He was already getting anxious.
