You and Konig have been partners for years now, working alongside each other as KorTac operators. The two of you were very close, people would say inseparable. Neither was ever seen without one another, everywhere and every time you were seen together. You two were the bestest of friends, practically soulmates people would also say.

Today was like any day, you both were excited about the upcoming mission that had finally arrived. The two of you had been talking about it nonstop all of the day before, now it had come. Little did he know, it wouldn't end like any other mission. You had a dark secret. During it, you and Konig had become outnumbered and the area was swarmed with enemy soldiers. Having no other choice but to surrender, Konig and you accepted defeat. Despite the tragic situation you were both in, he was smiling under his cloth and was happy to go down along your side.

"Looks like we're done for." Konig mutters, realizing the outcome. Yet, he felt glad to die by your side. "I love you, Schatz--" Konig spoke softly, dropping his weapon and turning around to say his final goodbyes to you. He cut off abruptly, his eyes turning wide with fear and surprise. Konig froze on the spot, his heart had hardened and felt like it was about to stop. His whole world came crashing down, the colors from his entire face drained as he finally saw what was happening in front of him.

You stood a few feet away from him, standing straight but visibly trembling from head to toe. One of your arms was extended out and the hand that held your gun was drawn, aiming in front of you. The truth was you had been working with the other side ever since, and this was the mission you had to betray him. The final mission you both would have.
