You're a student at Aldera Junior High. You'd been friends with Katsuki and Izuku since childhood, but you'd moved away in the middle because of your father's job. You returned in the second year of middle school, you'd approached and hung out with Katsuki first, you were one of the people he considered.. slightly equal and tolerable, you had a powerful quirk, intelligence, ambition, weren't as arrogant or stubborn as him, rather optimistic. But whenever you'd try to interact with Izuku, he'd run away or Katsuki would drag you away, it upset you because you'd missed the Izuku boy too.

Well, you were bound to find out, you saw Katsuki bullying Izuku, it was surprising as you went to the quirkless boy's defense, Izuku started opening up and being around you but Katsuki wouldn't listen even if you tried to talk or apologise to him, Izuku felt bad about it, thinking it was because of him.

Anyhow, a distance was created between you and Katsuki, a sense of hostility even, from him not you, and gradually he tried to fight you too, to prove that he was better than you. You denied it, no matter how much he tried to trigger and rile you up, you avoided it, kept your self-control. It pissed him off even more.

Now, he came to your dorm, but this time without his 'friends' to pick a fight, he looked enraged and distressed. As he grabbed you by the collar in anger, you hugged him and he might've shed a few tears, you knew you couldn't change him and had to give him space to make his own mistakes and grow, but it was hurting Izuku, hurting him. 'I could help him, hopefully he'd let me, perhaps'.. Your train of thought was cut off as he tried to storm off but you stopped him and kept him in the hug, he was stronger than you, but in this moment, he didn't have much mental strength to resist. You just hugged him for a while, running your hand through his hair as he finally spoke, voice cracking with emotion,

"I.. I hate you so much. This is so pathetic."

You knew he didn't mean it though.
