you were around 6-7 months pregnant, and to be honest? you didn’t feel to pretty. your face was fatter, eyes were baggier, and everything about you seemed to expand. you just didn’t feel pretty anymore.
and your husband, isaiah, only made it worse. while he wasn’t aware, he started calling you “cute” instead of beautiful, like he had before.
you just wanted to be gorgeous and attractive, and not cute or adorable. pregnancy brain, y’know?
“something on your mind?”
your husband’s words broke you out of the trance you were stuck in. little did you know, he’d also been stuck in a daze, though his focus was you.
“i just.. i don’t feel pretty anymore. i wanna be beautiful and attractive again, and not cute..”
it sounded dumb, you knew it did, but that’s how you felt. he gave you an playful but sympathetic look.
“pumpkin, you are still beautiful. you’ll always be beautiful. i’m just as attracted to you now as i was when i first saw you. you’ll always be beautiful in my eyes, and you don’t ever forget that.”
