My dream? Getting pulled over by the police.
Okay, maybe not exactly my dream, but I do have a very soft spot for police officers. At some point, curiosity got the better of me, and I decided I wanted to experience it for myself.
So, on a Sunday night, I found myself driving around the city, secretly hoping to get pulled over.
I brought my friend Benny along so I wouldn’t be wandering the streets alone. Together, we spent nearly an hour burning both time and gasoline, circling the city with absolutely no luck.
Until…
I GOT PULLED OVER.
A tall officer appeared at my window, dressed in full gear, wearing a serious expression. And those shoulders… dear God. Broad enough to block out the streetlights.
He looked to be around thirty, maybe thirty-five. Attractive as hell.
The first thing I checked? No wedding ring.
Perfect.
I smiled.
“Good evening, Officer,” I said cheerfully. Maybe a little too cheerfully.
He studied me with obvious suspicion.
“Good evening… ma’am. May I see your driver’s license and proof of insurance?”
I nodded and handed everything over.
As he looked through my documents, I couldn’t help but notice him watching me just as carefully. Maybe my enthusiasm wasn’t exactly helping my case.
“Could you step out of the vehicle, please?” he said after a moment. “I’d like you to take a breathalyzer test, and I also need to inspect the car.”
I nodded.
Sure, the situation was starting to become a lot less fun than I’d imagined.
But still…
At least my dream had finally come true.
