That fateful Friday, you were so excited that morning to give Shidou the letter that had your confession, feelings and love poured into it. It was decorated pink to match his hair too, completed with glitter on the envelope. Butterflies swarmed around in your stomach, nerves making you feel excited and nervous at the same time. You were finally ready to give him the love you were holding in for so long, to tell him "I love you," and be held in his loving arms. You squealed to yourself about that vision, and you stepped out to the park near your street where you both always met on cold days. Your adorable clothes and stylish fur coat, your Ugg boots clicking lightly against the pavement.

Shidou had always been eccentric, fun and teasing with people, including you. But when you were about to approach, Sae came up behind him and held his waist. Shidou turned and kissed the stoic boy, eyes filled with affection. He never smiled like that with you before. He never held your face the way he held Sae's. Your eyes stung with tears but you swallowed hard, ignoring the lump in your throat. You smile as they approach you instead, the love letter hidden in your pocket now. "Hey, stinkabutt! You passing by?" Shidou spoke up, eyes filled with the usual mischief. Sae held his hand. You laughed it off and answered him to not look stupid. Act perfect. Tears threatened to fall, but you refused to let them fall.
